My name is Joe Ross. I’m a geek. More specifically, I’m obsessed with technology, including consumer electronics, robotics, gaming, hardware, and software. I’m also fascinated by the cultural, legal and scientific implications of technological advancements. Although I usually write about law, tech, and stuff for geeks, this is my personal blog, too. That means that from time to time I'll write about family and friends, post photos of my pets, and do other personal-bloggy things.
By day I work at the Philadelphia Housing Authority, and by night I’m in my third year at Temple Law, where I have focused on copyright, privacy, and other issues of particular importance in an increasingly networked world. My other legal interests include patent law (solely from a layman’s perspective, lacking any engineering or scientific background), antitrust, and international law issues. In my spare time, which hasn’t existed for some time now, I like to watch sci-fi with my fiancee Megan, write short fiction, play Xbox 360 games, and make music.
